A UK-qualified maths teacher, here in the Algarve.

For much of my career I taught maths in the UK, working with students of every age and ability, from teenagers preparing for their GCSEs to adults returning to study. Time and again I watched confidence grow once maths was explained clearly, kindly and at the right pace.

Now based in the Algarve, I bring that same teaching to expat and international families. I work with students at international and collegiate schools across the region, including Nobel International School Algarve and Bright International School, supporting the British and international curriculum they study, all in English.

I teach maths up to IGCSE and GCSE level, along with the Key Stage years and entrance exams that lead up to them. I do not currently offer A Level, so I can give my full focus to getting those foundations and exams right.

A move abroad can unsettle a child's maths. I teach the curriculum they already know, in English, so lessons feel familiar and reassuring rather than another change to adjust to.
